Autumn Song 2009

For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His external power and Godhead......Romans 20:20

The leaves are almost gone and yet I still choke up in speechless awe marveling like a kid at Disney as I make the drive home from work through Mount Sinai around the Harbor onto my favorite storybook like street still in Autumn regalia. As if I had never seen Fall before! "But... Those leaves!" Natures Jewels on display pointing to our creative creator in brushstroking genius upon His Love Filled Creation Canvas. "And He saw that it was Good", whispers in the wind. These leaves seem to sing , welcoming me to join in their happy song. A happy little song bearing the sweetest melody. Happy To Die...... Happy to leave their branches. Happy to do their solitary free fall. Happy to plunge into the unknown;the wet abyss of mushy leaves below. Happy to leave what they know, what is comfortable, what provides nourishment....Happy to "Go Low,' Happy to do what they were created to do....Happy to become decay to bring forth new life.

But for the Joy set before Him, He endured......unto Death.
Our Savior sang the sweetest 'happy little death song,' there ever was. Heaven's Love Song. The Kingdom Song; A Song that spoke of a way.....His way, the way that always leads to life; His Life.He was happy to go low..The Incarnation....taking on the form of man..a servant of men..that He might purchase our lives and reunite us again with the Father. His melody can be heard even today in the sounds of Autumn.....rustling leaves singing a happy little death song, a song of joy, a song of identification. Come pick up your cross and follow me... let us sing that song in fullness of maturation like the leaves that fall and the grapes ready for press. "For since creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made."

What other people do is none of my business but for years I’ve been wrestling with some of the trends and level of politics and patriotism within the church. . But this article speaks my language it resonates with my spirit and shares my concerns. So for now, all Is at rest and Jesus He’s The only answer. Maybe someone out there feels the same way I do. I hope this post finds you and this article encourages your heart like it did mine. You aren’t crazy  Pray 🙏 That’s why you see it the way you do.

Thank You Lord !

https://firmfoundationpv.org/worship-103-genre-and-style-in-church-music/ Lord you answered all my questions, Thank You. You Counsel us with Your loving eye upon us. Psalm 32:8 I remember many years ago when The TV show American Idol began. One of the finalists shared kind of an awkward song well it just sort of seemed out of place. It was unfamiliar , extremely personal, beautiful, but it really fell flat. He even sang it like he was sort of alone in the room and we were all just watching his personal  moment. It left me just sitting there scratching my head. When  he finished it was then time for the judges to give their input. Simon Cowell really shockingly scolded him and said that his choice of music was “self-indulgent. “ What does he mean by that ? I thought about it Took me a while I think I know what he meant and I never forgot it. He forgot who he was singing to he forgot he had an audience. It wasn’t only about him, but who he was singing to and for. …….,so m...

Cheryl's FaceBook Quote

"Dark is life's way, for the night is not yet o'er; the longed-for glimpse I may not meanwhile borrow; But, this I know, He goeth on before." All our supply is to come from the Lord. Here are springs that shall never dry; here are fountains and streams that shall never be cut off. Here, anxious one, is the gracious pledge of the heavenly Father. If He be the source of our mercies they can never fail us. No heat, no drought can parch that river, “the streams whereof make glad the city of God.
