Let There be Blood..Kimmy's Movie Review

FB Entry Friday Night...... Watched the movie, 'Let there be Blood,' Tonight...expecting this great Oscar nominated flick forever on my long list of movies to see that I haven't....WHAT was THAT? Double YUK YUK! I feel like I need to wash it off! LOL Still love Daniel Day Lewis' acting though....a repeat of The Last of the Mohican's would have been the better choice.

FB Entry Saturday AM Thoughts.....I was really taken back as I watched the most ugly mocking portrayal of christianity I have ever personally seen on the screen last night... thinking this morning of the 'unchurched' looking in at Christianity or just what's offered on TV in the USA in the name of Christ....the hypocrisy, self/man glorifying, little God devaluing, the charlatan; Simon Magus of our day..boasting in the lusts and the pride of life with evil eyes upon that which they are beholding..and the 'church' follows them..scary to me too...I think the movie was really a needed painful commentary on the Impotent state/strange bearing fruit/accurate perception of the church in America today to the 'unchurched'... one that should produce an attitude of sack cloth and ashes; repentance and intercession for a true follower of Christ and not a vain offence that woud produce the usual masse boycott(I hate that)..For me...the bottom line theme of movie: the world and the church look and act sadly the same...Lust for Materialism in full flight.....the declining morality of both.

What other people do is none of my business but for years I’ve been wrestling with some of the trends and level of politics and patriotism within the church. . But this article speaks my language it resonates with my spirit and shares my concerns. So for now, all Is at rest and Jesus He’s The only answer. Maybe someone out there feels the same way I do. I hope this post finds you and this article encourages your heart like it did mine. You aren’t crazy  Pray 🙏 That’s why you see it the way you do.

Thank You Lord !

https://firmfoundationpv.org/worship-103-genre-and-style-in-church-music/ Lord you answered all my questions, Thank You. You Counsel us with Your loving eye upon us. Psalm 32:8 I remember many years ago when The TV show American Idol began. One of the finalists shared kind of an awkward song well it just sort of seemed out of place. It was unfamiliar , extremely personal, beautiful, but it really fell flat. He even sang it like he was sort of alone in the room and we were all just watching his personal  moment. It left me just sitting there scratching my head. When  he finished it was then time for the judges to give their input. Simon Cowell really shockingly scolded him and said that his choice of music was “self-indulgent. “ What does he mean by that ? I thought about it Took me a while I think I know what he meant and I never forgot it. He forgot who he was singing to he forgot he had an audience. It wasn’t only about him, but who he was singing to and for. …….,so m...

Cheryl's FaceBook Quote

"Dark is life's way, for the night is not yet o'er; the longed-for glimpse I may not meanwhile borrow; But, this I know, He goeth on before." All our supply is to come from the Lord. Here are springs that shall never dry; here are fountains and streams that shall never be cut off. Here, anxious one, is the gracious pledge of the heavenly Father. If He be the source of our mercies they can never fail us. No heat, no drought can parch that river, “the streams whereof make glad the city of God.
