Thoughts on a Quote

Temptations, when we meet them at first, are as the lion that reared upon Samson; but if we overcome them, the next time we see them we shall find a nest of honey within them.

John Bunyon

'Pose a Riddle that we may hear it'

"Out of the eater came something to eat

But out of the strong came something sweet." Judges 14:1

How many Lions does it take to have the wisdom and the right response for the next Lion?

How could Samson not know that his wife to be was being used as his fiery dart of temptation?

How did he not glean the wisdom of God's preparation by defeating that young lion roaring against him when facing his next 'lion'?

What was he considering when later passing eating of the honey within the carcass?

Who from death can produce life?

How could one who saw the wisdom of God be played like a fool and then over and over and over again?

The same lie. The very same temptation. The same trap, the same trapper. The very same sin that so easily besets.

Why such disconnect? We love the feeling, We love the illusion.

It is only grace; divine enablement falling on plowed humble ground that bridges the 'flesh gap'. The many who fall who preach the word without making it experiential. It is not allowed to enter the Inner Man where it is made experiential truth . It remains cerebral, intellectual, a principle to be followed in natural strength, but this will produce just a noise. God's word is Not lacking power for there is power in the word. There is provision in the command and power...grace...divine enablement to be given without measure for the believer to live out the commands of God. But this one lacks power because it is refused; it costs too much to be applied. There is a choice and the choice is self and not the cross our Savior calls us to.

What other people do is none of my business but for years I’ve been wrestling with some of the trends and level of politics and patriotism within the church. . But this article speaks my language it resonates with my spirit and shares my concerns. So for now, all Is at rest and Jesus He’s The only answer. Maybe someone out there feels the same way I do. I hope this post finds you and this article encourages your heart like it did mine. You aren’t crazy  Pray 🙏 That’s why you see it the way you do.

Thank You Lord !

https://firmfoundationpv.org/worship-103-genre-and-style-in-church-music/ Lord you answered all my questions, Thank You. You Counsel us with Your loving eye upon us. Psalm 32:8 I remember many years ago when The TV show American Idol began. One of the finalists shared kind of an awkward song well it just sort of seemed out of place. It was unfamiliar , extremely personal, beautiful, but it really fell flat. He even sang it like he was sort of alone in the room and we were all just watching his personal  moment. It left me just sitting there scratching my head. When  he finished it was then time for the judges to give their input. Simon Cowell really shockingly scolded him and said that his choice of music was “self-indulgent. “ What does he mean by that ? I thought about it Took me a while I think I know what he meant and I never forgot it. He forgot who he was singing to he forgot he had an audience. It wasn’t only about him, but who he was singing to and for. …….,so m...

Cheryl's FaceBook Quote

"Dark is life's way, for the night is not yet o'er; the longed-for glimpse I may not meanwhile borrow; But, this I know, He goeth on before." All our supply is to come from the Lord. Here are springs that shall never dry; here are fountains and streams that shall never be cut off. Here, anxious one, is the gracious pledge of the heavenly Father. If He be the source of our mercies they can never fail us. No heat, no drought can parch that river, “the streams whereof make glad the city of God.
