We have to pray with our eyes on God, not on the difficulties.
Oswald Chambers
There are times when we get 'side-swiped.' When Finally for a short time since the last time..... it's seemingly All quiet on the Northern Front when 'Bamm' faster than Emerill Lagasse can throw a shoemaker spice blend into a pot of Alligator Gumbo....adversity of the tailoredkind, special reserve blend comes to wield it's perfect work striking it's poker hot flame to our lives. Overwhelmed like standing over Pork Loins being blackened for a 200 person wedding...we choke for a moment while billows of black smoke rise..we're searching for the exit sign...for clean air. Then 60 seconds later...we're fixed...not going to run anywhere but to Dad. We run boldy to Him for we've learned His arms are our only refuge. With Him the air is cool and clear.....His Heart is Full with mercy and grace for our every need. Our overwhelmed heart is led by grace to the Rock that is higher.
There are those special times though when the blow is so over the top almost laughable and obvious...that we must with authority shake it off like Paul's Snakebite...Paul just went on with his life and God's purposes. That brother didn't skip a beat. He was still alive and free from all venom affects. He didn't need to mourn, process, go to therapy or phone a friend or use a lifeline...he already had his lifeline. Paul's LifeLine was bigger than any snake bite. That's something to sing about. How about a Shake off the Snake Song? There are times we too must sing a 'militant' Snake Shake song and 'sing it like we've never sung before'. It is not a song of our own invention but a heavenly song sung by our OverComing Victor who sings the song over us. We Must sing it in an apprehension of what He has 'Sung' and accomplished........ we sing HIS song..We sing, declare and proclaim..with all our hearts, with all our strength and with all our might.... though others may not sing along, though some may laugh and ridicule the song. We must sing for all of heaven to hear and for the wielder of the adversity too.sing it in the face of the snake.....and to our own souls reminding ouselves again of His Mighty Power at work within and with'out'. We must sing for Him to hear, Singing abandoned and
Unashamed, Confident in Him and in His Pleasure(He wrote the Song, He Loves the song..it's His favorite...it will never become old..it's always a New Song) and Sing it with ThanksGiving....for He is Near...we sing His Song together and forever...with Him.
Sing His Song Like You've never sang before!
