We live in a hyper sensitive politically correct culture taught to never call 'ducks ducks'. My Grandmother always called a 'spade a spade'. Spade is just another word for Duck. I always loved that about her. There was safety and trust in knowing that what you saw was what you got. Then I came to Christ and learned that God who is Truth spoke in truth. He adds up; What he says about Himself and what he does. HE who is reality brings people into reality through His Son. Today in the church we have thrown the Gospel and Biblical 'common sense' to the wind and have embraced every strange doctrine, every current trend; too many lies. I have wondered about all the people who watched the Duck. They act out like the characters of the famous story, The Emperor's New Clothes....the Emperor naked as a Jay Bird with those around him declaring he is dressed in the finest array of the finest apparell. There are some that would fight another if he disagreed....afterall..'look how handsome our great emperor is.' There are some that would accuse those sincerely questioning by questioning them and casting question upon them to others.
We all read the stories of late, too many to tell of respected men of God Falling into sin in the Christian Evangelical Community.I wonder about those who watched someone naked; abusive,fleecing the flock,lieing,stealing,destroying lives,wanton in their lust for sex and power....all shouting how beautifully clothed their own 'emperor is. Though this type attracts a type..a type that will drink Kool-Aid and travel the globe to follow you. I wonder... Could they not hear their evil heart as they preached to you? Why did they not expose the nakedness for the sake of others? But God! He declares that He will not be mocked and in His mercy He exposes the nakedness, the blindness, the enablers and abusers. As the saying goes, You can fool some of the people some of the time..but you can never fool God, He sees EVERYTHING. There is no darkness that is not light to Him.
Jeremiah 1:11 The word of the LORD came to me: “What do you see, Jeremiah?”
“I see the branch of an almond tree,” I replied.
12 The LORD said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.”
O God you desire truth in the inward man. May our lives be authentic and genuine... rooted, grounded,proven and made unmovable in the Truth that arrested our lives with Grace and Power through Christ's apprehension of us.
