"Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved?" (S. of Sol. 8:5).
I loved reading this scripture today. Love this verse it is one of my favorites. Today it is a fresh reminder of God's faithfulness to complete the good work he began unto completion. He will make me to lean all the more upon Himself. That's what He does, He loves when we are a leaning people. You and I are called to lean. Way too often we lean upon everything and anything else but Him.
O that we would be that leaning people...a people leaning in total dependency upon our savior , a people weaned from self sufficiency, that have stopped trusting in their 'horses' and 'chariots,' but a people that trust only upon the name of their God and they have learned to run into that name for every need and to obtain mercy and grace for every need. They ask as they see her, 'Who is this?.'.....The bride is not seen and she is not recognized because she has been so transformed through her goings through that wilderness. But what has been produced through that wilderness is a life that points to another. Her life now leans upon Him. He is her source of life, and it is her leaning life that points to Him; the Beloved. She has not gone through alone, He was with her all the while, she was led by love through to the other side..she was made to lean and lean hard upon Him who delivered her. He is the focus, He is who 'shines'. Her transformation is to His Glory nothing of herself. Leaning Leaning upon the everlasting arms,
Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms.
O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.
What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the everlasting arms;
I have blessed peace with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the everlasting arms.

"Child of My love, lean hard,
And let Me feel the pressure of thy care;
I know thy burden, child. I shaped it;
Poised it in Mine Own hand; made no proportion
In its weight to thine unaided strength,
For even as I laid it on, I said,
'I shall be near, and while she leans on Me,
This burden shall be Mine, not hers;
So shall I keep My child within the circling arms
Of My Own love.'
Here lay it down, nor fear
To impose it on a shoulder which upholds the government of worlds.
Yet closer come: Thou art not near enough.
I would embrace thy care;
So I might feel My child reposing on My breast.
Thou lovest Me? I knew it.
Doubt not then;
But Loving Me, lean hard."
